THE LEGACY CHASE

On September 25, 2010, Shawan Downs will host the 10th annual Legacy Chase. The Legacy Chase has become an annual social event for many, marrying the excitement of steeplechasing with the beauty of the countryside.

Proceeds from this event benefit GBMC HealthCare. Over the last three years, the event generated $265,000 that was donated to the nursing department at GBMC.

Shawan Downs' signature event, the Legacy Chase, features multiple steeplechase races, that award close to $100,000 in purse money. In addition, the day features The Meadows, a fantastic family-friendly destination that includes children's activities, food concessions, live music, vendors and much more.
